There a myriad of ‘symptoms’ which can accompany pregnancy. We have outlined a few below,
Missed period – If fertilization has occurred then your uterus stops releasing eggs and menstruation will stop. This is a good sign that you are pregnant, but, there are other factors at play. For instance, people with very low body-fat can miss periods or have them stop entirely.
Light bleeding – When a fertilized egg implants itself in the wall lining of the uterus, light bleeding can occur which is released from the vagina. This is usually 2 weeks after the last period and is a very good indication that you are pregnant.
Morning sickness – Waking up in the morning and feeling sick for no reason can be an indicator or pregnancy. It’s due to rising hormone levels and many doctors see it as a good thing as it means the placenta is developing well[note]http://americanpregnancy.org/pregnancy-health/morning-sickness-during-pregnancy/[/note].
Sensitive breasts – Your breasts becoming sensitive and/or swollen can be another indicator of pregnancy. This is again due to changes in hormone levels within the body.
Many other ‘symptoms’ may present themselves, such as:
- Frequent urination
- Back pain
- Headaches
- Mood swings
- Fatigue
- Sore gums
- Change in sex drive
- Pimples
- Nasal congestion
